Wegovy is a registered trademark of Novo Nordisk A/S. It is a prescription medicine. A licensed clinician must evaluate your health and decide whether it is appropriate for you.
Important safety information: Wegovy has a boxed warning about the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. It is contraindicated in people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. Other serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar, acute kidney injury, severe stomach problems, serious allergic reactions, diabetic retinopathy complications, increased heart rate, and suicidal behavior or thinking. Review the complete official Wegovy Prescribing Information and Medication Guide with a licensed clinician.
Wegovy cost per month is not one fixed amount. Your pharmacy price can depend on insurance benefits, deductible progress, pharmacy network, supply period, and eligibility for a current manufacturer savings program. The amount another person paid may not predict yours.
This page is general information, not medical advice. Talk to a licensed clinician about your situation.
What makes the monthly cost vary
The medication cost comes from the pharmacy, not Body Good. A pharmacy may process the prescription through insurance, apply an eligible manufacturer offer, or quote a cash price. Each route can produce a different amount.
With insurance, the current formulary is the starting point. A formulary is the plan's covered-drug list. The plan may place the prescription on a cost-sharing tier, require prior authorization, limit quantity, or direct members to a preferred pharmacy. Some plans exclude certain categories altogether.
Your deductible also matters. Before it is met, you may owe more of the allowed pharmacy charge. After it is met, a copay or coinsurance may apply. That means the amount can change during the same plan year even if the prescription does not.
Cash prices can differ among pharmacies and over time. Ask for the price tied to the exact prescription and supply period. Confirm whether the quote includes any discount and whether that discount can be used again at the next fill.
How to check an insured price
Use the member-services number on your insurance card. Ask about the exact prescription under your current plan, then write down the date and reference number.
Questions worth asking include:
- Is the prescription on my current formulary?
- Does prior authorization, step therapy, or a quantity limit apply?
- Which pharmacies are preferred or in network?
- What deductible, copay, or coinsurance applies today?
- Is the estimate for one month or another supply period?
Ask whether the estimate assumes that your deductible has already been met. If your plan year will renew soon, ask how a reset could change future costs.
A benefits quote is not a guarantee. The plan decides approval and payment after reviewing the claim under its current terms. If the pharmacy price differs from the estimate, ask the pharmacy for the claim response and ask the plan to explain the difference.
Prior authorization and coverage support
Prior authorization is a plan review. The plan may request clinical records before deciding whether its criteria are met. Requirements vary by plan, and submitting a request does not assure approval.
Body Good may provide coverage support, including a benefits check and help with plan-requested paperwork when appropriate. Body Good does not control the plan's rules, timing, approval, or payment. Coverage support cannot guarantee a particular result or monthly pharmacy cost.
If a request is denied, get the reason in writing. The notice should explain any appeal process and deadlines. A missing record, an unmet criterion, or a benefit exclusion may call for different next steps. Your clinician can address clinical questions, while the plan administrator can explain benefit rules.
Manufacturer savings and self-pay information
Novo Nordisk publishes current savings and support information on its official Wegovy savings page. Read the full terms rather than relying on a headline amount.
Savings programs can have eligibility rules, maximum benefits, expiration dates, refill limits, and restrictions involving government insurance. Terms may change. A savings offer is not insurance and does not establish what your plan covers.
Ask the pharmacy to explain how it calculated the amount. You should know whether it used your insurance, a manufacturer offer, a pharmacy discount, or a cash rate. Also ask whether the same method is expected to apply at the next fill.
Body Good service fees are separate
Any price shown by Body Good is a Body Good service fee for the program described during intake. It is not the price of medication and is not a quote for any individual. Eligibility is determined by a clinician.
Medication cost is separate and is not included in a Body Good service fee. A pharmacy or other authorized provider bills for medication. Laboratory services, if clinically appropriate, may also involve a separate charge.
For a clearer budget, separate the possible charges into three categories: the Body Good service fee, the pharmacy medication charge, and any laboratory charge. Do not add a manufacturer headline price to a service fee until you know which pharmacy amount actually applies to you.
This website is an informational and pricing overview. It does not accept payment, collect protected health information, or operate an intake form. Intake and checkout take place on joinbodygood.com.
A practical way to plan month by month
Start with your current formulary and plan documents. Then confirm the exact prescription, pharmacy network, coverage requirements, and deductible status. Review any manufacturer offer directly with Novo Nordisk and ask the pharmacy for an itemized explanation of the processed amount.
Recheck your estimate when your insurance, pharmacy, prescription, or plan year changes. A first-fill amount may not remain the same. Keep notices and receipts so you can see which part changed.
Cost does not determine whether a medicine is medically appropriate. Do not change how you use a prescription because of price without speaking to your clinician and pharmacist.
Frequently asked questions
Is Wegovy cost per month the same at every pharmacy?
No. Pharmacy network status, insurance processing, cash pricing, supply period, and eligible savings can affect the amount. Ask for a quote for the exact prescription.
Can a manufacturer savings offer lower my cost?
It may for people who meet the current terms. Eligibility, limits, and exclusions apply, and terms can change. Confirm the final amount with the pharmacy.
Can Body Good help me check coverage?
Body Good can provide coverage support and assist with plan-requested paperwork. The plan determines approval and payment. Begin the secure intake to provide information for clinical review.
